Payment Options
At Sorell Veterinary Centre, we are committed to providing high-quality veterinary care for pets across our community. As a privately owned clinic, we receive no government funding and rely entirely on client fees to maintain our facilities, equipment and experienced team.
Our fees reflect the cost of delivering professional, modern veterinary care while ensuring your pet receives the attention and treatment they deserve.
Transparent Pricing
We understand that veterinary visits, especially in emergencies, can place unexpected strain on household finances. Wherever possible, your veterinarian will discuss treatment options with you and provide an estimate of costs before proceeding, so you can make informed decisions about your pet’s care.
Payment is required at the time of consultation or on discharge unless otherwise arranged.
Consultation Fees
- Standard consultations: $95
- Emergency or same-day consultations: $150
Please note that consultation fees do not include additional treatments, procedures, diagnostics or medications that may be required.
Deposits for Hospitalisation and Emergencies
To support the costs associated with intensive care and hospitalisation, deposits are required in certain situations:
- Parvovirus, paralysis tick and snake bite hospitalisation: $1,000 deposit on admission
- Emergency case admission: $650 deposit
All remaining balances are payable in full at discharge.
Payment Methods and Support Options
We offer a range of payment options to help make managing veterinary costs easier:
GapOnly®
If you have eligible pet insurance, GapOnly allows you to claim on the spot and pay only the gap between the claim and the total invoice (subject to your insurer’s terms).
VetPay
VetPay payment plans are available for approved applicants. VetPay allows you to spread the cost of your pet’s treatment over time. Applications must be approved prior to your appointment, and eligibility is assessed directly by VetPay.
