At Sorell Veterinary Centre, our purpose-built facilities are designed to support high-quality veterinary care in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment. From the moment you arrive to your pet’s recovery, every area of our clinic has been thoughtfully equipped to support both pets and their families.
Reception and Consultation Rooms
Our welcoming reception and waiting area is where you’ll be greeted by our friendly and experienced administration team. This space is designed for easy check-ins, weigh-ins, admissions and discharges, as well as purchases from our in-clinic shop.
Two modern consultation rooms are located directly off the waiting area, allowing for efficient appointments while keeping pets calm and comfortable.
In-Clinic Shop
Our shop stocks prescription diets from Hill’s and Delicate Care, parasite prevention, collars, leads, harnesses, shampoos, conditioners and supplements. If we don’t have what you need, we’re happy to help source it for you.
Dentistry Suite
Dental health is a major focus at our clinic. We are equipped with modern ultrasonic scaling equipment and digital dental X-ray technology, allowing us to perform thorough scale and polish procedures, extractions and full oral assessments. Regular dental examinations help us detect gingivitis and dental disease early, supporting better long-term health.
All dental procedures are followed by personalised home care guidance and product recommendations to help maintain your pet’s oral health.
Surgery
Our fully equipped surgical suite supports a wide range of procedures, from routine desexing to more complex surgeries. We use Isoflurane gaseous anaesthesia, sterile gloving, autoclaved and disposable instruments, heated surgical mats and advanced monitoring equipment to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort at all times.
Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory
We offer on-site digital radiology, including dental X-rays, providing immediate, high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Imaging can be shared with specialists when required, and digital copies are available on request.
Our in-house laboratory allows for rapid routine testing, while our microscope supports skin, ear and cytology examinations, including fine-needle aspirates of lumps.
Ultrasound
On-site ultrasound imaging allows us to assess the chest, abdomen and soft tissues in real time, helping guide accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Recovery and Hospital Care
Our recovery area is closely monitored by experienced veterinary nurses and fitted with digital IV fluid pumps. We also provide a dedicated feline recovery space, enhanced with Feliway diffusers, sprays and calming cat music to reduce stress and promote comfort.
Antivenom and Emergency Supplies
We carry antivenom for Tasmanian snake bites and paralysis ticks. A deposit of $1,000 is required prior to antivenom treatment.
