When planning desexing for dogs, we combine current veterinary research with your dog’s unique needs.
- Small and medium breeds are often desexed between 5–9 months of age
- Large and giant breeds may benefit from waiting until 12–24 months, allowing for healthy joint development and potentially reducing the risk of certain conditions later in life
